A placebo is a pill with no active ingredient. Usually placebos are given in secret in research studies. An honest placebo, also called an open-label placebo, is one you take knowing it is a placebo. There is nothing hidden: our products contain no medicine, and we say so on the label.
Researchers, including a team at Harvard Medical School led by Ted Kaptchuk, have studied open-label placebos and published their findings. Results vary from person to person, and we cannot promise any particular result. Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and they are not a substitute for care from your doctor.
No medicine. Magic Bullet capsules are made with an inert plant fiber that is widely used in foods, in a vegan capsule shell. Magic Bullet JR. chewables are tangy orange and contain vitamin C. No Ghost Repellent is a lavender-scented cream for external use only. The full ingredient list for each product is printed on its label; please check it if you have allergies.
Follow the directions on the label. Many people find it helps to take it at the same times each day as part of a routine. Keep taking any medicine your doctor prescribed; do not use our products in place of medical care.
They are our products for kids. Magic Bullet JR. is a tangy orange, placebo-style chewable tablet that contains vitamin C but no medicine; make sure your child chews each tablet completely. No Ghost Repellent is a lavender-scented bedtime cream for external use only, made for a bit of monster-chasing pretend play at bedtime. They are for ages 3 and up; always use them with adult supervision and follow the label. If your child is sick, hurt, or has ongoing symptoms, please see their doctor.
Our products contain no medicine (Magic Bullet JR. does contain vitamin C). Still, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have questions about your health or medications, and never stop or change a prescribed treatment without their advice.
